SOUTH WALTON BEACH, Fla. - April 6, 2016 - PRLog -- The Food Film Festival is a global event that will take place for the first time in Florida at the Beaches of South Walton. Created by Emmy award-winning filmmaker George Motz, this event revolutionizes the culinary experience. Audiences will watch films about food and taste the food from the films at the same time. This festival has fed and entertained over 40,000 guests from New York City to Charleston to Copenhagen over the past 9 years.
The 10th Annual Food Film Festival is a three day event taking place Friday evening through Sunday afternoon at the Beaches of South Walton. The first event begins Friday, April 8th at Caliza Restaurant in Alys Beach with the feature presentation "A Taste of What's to Come". From 6:30pm-10:00pm participants will watch films that feature the art of creating a Mini Top Pot Doughnut, Bacon Wrapped Steak and Rosemary Gin Smash while consuming what's on the screen. Chefs and filmmakers responsible for the events will be among the audience participating in the event.
On Saturday, April 9th, the Road Trip event begins with a southern culinary experience. A variety of southern cuisine such as BBQ, biscuits, fried green tomatoes and banana pudding along with craft beers and local spirits unique to the south will be served. This event will take place at The Hub on 30A from 11:00am-2:00pm. On Saturday Evening "By Land or Sea" is presented at 6:30pm. This screening will feature nature with all of its sights and smells. Audiences will sample chef-prepared dishes based on these films.
The Food Film Festival concludes with the showing of "It's Grits". On Sunday, April 10th, the final presentation takes place At Bud & Alley's Seaside. From 11:00am to 3:00pm the audience will watch and taste a true southern brunch. Tickets are on sale now for individual events or VIP weekend pass. All events take place at the beaches of South Walton. 30a Rentals are convenient to all festival events for those visiting the area.
