SR Socially Relevant Film Fest New York's 2nd edition Showcases a Broad Slate of Timely, Issue Oriented and Socially Engaging Films from 33 Countries, Informative Industry Panels, International Guests, and More.
PRLog - March 9, 2015 - NEW YORK -- The 2nd edition of the SR SOCIALLY RELEVANT FILM FESTIVAL NEW YORK runs from March 16 - 22, 2015 at Tribeca Cinemas, Maysles Cinema, The Quad Cinema, CUNY Graduate Center and School of Visual Arts SocDoc. The opening film: "Come to My Voice," directed by Hϋseyin Karabey, screens at CUNY Proshansky Auditorium and is free to the public, however reservations are advised.

The Festival’s timely and socially engaging selection offers World and U.S. premieres, in addition to a set of industry panels on distribution, storytelling, diversity casting and the arts as a tool for positive social change.

The 53 films from 33 countries including Armenia, Australia, Canada, China, Colombia, Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Haiti, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kurdistan, Lebanon, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Palestine, Patagonia, Peru, Romania, Russia, South Korea, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Tibet, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE and the USA, screen in 4 venues.
