The author is speaking up for the many men and women who have experienced spiritual abuse at the hands of the church leadership but are afraid or ashamed to speak up for fear of repercussions.
“My story is not to make the church look bad,” said Corinthia, “but rather in hopes of the making the church to open their eyes and take a closer look at why many of God's people are being wounded in the church… My story is not about all church leaders, nor is it to bring shame to those that are truly walking with our Lord and Savior.”
