June 2, 2026, ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Water Tower Research (www.watertowerresearch.com) has published an Initiation of Coverage Report on ClearSign Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: CLIR) titled, “Disruptive Burner Technology with 80% Cost Advantage Over Incumbent Tech”. The report can be accessed here.

ClearSign is an industrial technology company that sells advanced burners that prevent NOx pollution at the source. CLIR’s proprietary ClearSign Core™ technology addresses both chemical pathways responsible for NOx formation, frequently eliminating the need for expensive post-combustion treatment. CLIR offers investors a structural, non-discretionary compliance cycle driven by tightening NOx regulations worldwide, with a proven cost-advantaged technology platform that serves a large market of oil refiners, petrochemical plants, and gas processors.

NOx is regulated as a toxic pollutant under decades-old public-health mandates that have tightened over time, with leading-edge markets in California and the Texas Gulf Coast and regulatory pressure spreading to other US regions, Europe, and Asia. CLIR’s cost advantage over the incumbent SCR alternative is convincing—~80% on a recent supermajor heater project—and two California BACT designations have established ClearSign as the formal national emissions benchmark.

The Zeeco partnership underpins CLIR’s asset-light model. Zeeco co-brands and manufactures CLIR’s burners, hosts customer demonstrations, and sells through its global salesforce, giving CLIR industrial-scale test furnaces, manufacturing capacity, and refinery-approved vendor credentials without the capital burden.

ClearSign ended 1Q26 with $7.7 million in cash, zero long-term debt, and a clear path to break-even. Management’s break-even is ~160 process burners per year (~$16 million annual revenue), with self-funding project economics (50% upfront/50% on Zeeco delivery) limiting working capital needs. We forecast revenue to increase from $5.2 million in 2025 to $84.3 million by 2031E, with gross margin expanding from 27% to ~46% as scale builds, and first annual net profit in 2029 scaling to $30.7 million by 2031E.
