Fulton County Emergency Services meets Super Bowl-level demand on CentralSquare software during the tournament

As Atlanta hosts eight FIFA World Cup matches and a month-long festival through July 15, Fulton County Emergency Services is meeting public safety demand on technology from CentralSquare Technologies, a leading provider of public sector software in North America. Fulton County is one of 12 host cities where agencies are running CentralSquare systems.

Fulton County recently upgraded its 911 operations with CentralSquare’s Public Safety Suite® and ONESolution CAD. The county also strengthened its backup center by adding a connection to the Georgia Crime Information Center and integrating CAD with RapidSOS to quickly locate callers in crowded areas.

“When everyone watches, you have one chance to answer a call. We ensured every part of the center has backup, so 911 works well during busy and quiet times,” said Chris Sweigart, Director of the Department of Emergency Services, Fulton County. “This reliability allows our team to focus on the situation, not the equipment.”

Fulton County Sheriff's and Police units use two CentralSquare applications. FirstTwo delivers incident scene context from CAD in moving vehicles. Freedom provides 26 agencies with a direct line to dispatchers and live event updates.

Over 50 law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies across the U.S. operate CentralSquare's systems during the tournament. The California Highway Patrol uses CAD Mobile statewide, and on July 19, agencies using the technology will support public safety during the World Cup Final at MetLife Stadium.

“The World Cup set a deadline for us, but our mission has always been to serve Fulton County every day,” said Division Chief William Orgertrice, Fulton County Emergency Services. “Working with CentralSquare helped us make improvements that will keep our community safe long after the games are over.”
