HONG KONG
SwissBullion.eu, a precious metals dealer offering physical bullion, international delivery and storage, reports rising interest from cryptocurrency holders seeking to convert digital assets into physical gold and other precious metals.

The company said the trend is emerging as Bitcoin and gold increasingly demonstrate different market behavior, encouraging some cryptocurrency investors to consider diversification across digital and physical assets.
Bitcoin has frequently been described as "digital gold" because of its limited supply and its use by some investors as an alternative to traditional financial assets. Gold, however, remains a physical commodity with a long-established role in investment markets, central-bank reserves, jewelry and industry.
According to Swiss Bullion, periods in which Bitcoin and gold move in different directions are prompting some cryptocurrency holders to diversify rather than concentrate their holdings in a single asset class.
Crypto Holders Move Into Physical Bullion
Swiss Bullion said it is seeing increased interest from customers using cryptocurrency to purchase physical gold directly.
Eligible customers can pay for precious metals using a range of supported cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, USDC, XRP, Litecoin, Monero, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, TRON, BNB, Solana and Cardano.
The payment option allows cryptocurrency holders to purchase bullion without first converting their digital assets into fiat currency through a traditional bank account.
Swiss Bullion offers gold, silver, platinum and palladium bars and coins, including products produced by Swiss refineries and major government mints.
The company said demand is not limited to Bitcoin. Stablecoins such as USDT and USDC are also being used by customers seeking a more price-stable method of purchasing bullion with digital assets. Stablecoins may reduce some of the short-term pricing uncertainty associated with using more volatile cryptocurrencies during a transaction.
Gold and Bitcoin Serve Different Roles
Although Bitcoin and gold are both viewed by some investors as scarce assets, their market characteristics remain significantly different.
Bitcoin trades continuously across global cryptocurrency exchanges and can experience substantial price volatility over short periods. Gold is supported by a broad physical market and has historically been used as a reserve asset and portfolio diversifier.
Swiss Bullion said the divergence between the two markets is contributing to changes in how some cryptocurrency investors approach diversification.
Rather than viewing gold and Bitcoin solely as competing alternatives, some investors are using cryptocurrency gains or existing digital holdings to acquire physical precious metals while maintaining exposure to crypto markets.
The approach allows investors to hold both digital and tangible forms of scarce assets.
Storage and International Delivery
Customers purchasing bullion through Swiss Bullion can select insured international delivery or precious metals storage.
The company offers storage services for precious metals, and customers may arrange delivery or collection of stored metals by appointment. For customers who do not want to store bullion personally, the service provides an alternative to home delivery.
Swiss Bullion offers products intended for long-term precious metals investors, including gold bars, gold coins, silver bars, silver coins, platinum and palladium bullion.
Tax Considerations Remain Important
Swiss Bullion notes that using cryptocurrency to purchase precious metals may create tax consequences depending on the customer's jurisdiction.
In some countries, spending cryptocurrency may be treated as a disposal of the digital asset and could result in a taxable capital gain or loss. Customers are therefore encouraged to maintain appropriate transaction records and seek professional tax advice where necessary.
As digital assets become more integrated into investment portfolios, Swiss Bullion expects the connection between cryptocurrency and physical precious metals to continue developing.
The company said direct crypto-to-bullion transactions provide investors with another method of diversifying between digital and physical assets without relying solely on fiat-based payment channels.
