E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company (the “Company”) filed its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the three and six months ended June 30, 2007 (“Q2 2007 10-Q”) on August 1, 2007. As a participant in the Securities and Exchange Commission’s voluntary XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) program, the Company has attached as Exhibit 100 to this Current Report on Form 8-K the following financial statements from the Company’s Q2 2007 10-Q formatted in XBRL: (i) the Consolidated Income Statements for the three and six months ended June 30, 2007 and 2006, (ii) the Consolidated Balance Sheets as of June 30, 2007 and December 31, 2006, and (iii) the Consolidated Statements of Cash Flows for the six months ended June 30, 2007 and 2006.

Pursuant to Rule 401 of Regulation S-T, users of this data are advised that the financial information contained in the XBRL-related documents is unaudited and that these are not the official publicly filed financial statements of the Company.
