AMERICAN AIRLINES REPORTS APRIL TRAFFIC

FORT WORTH, Texas – American Airlines reported that April traffic increased 2.7 percent versus the same period last year. Capacity increased 3.9 percent year over year, resulting in a load factor of 81.1 percent compared to 82.0 percent in the same period last year. International traffic increased by 10.9 percent relative to last year on a capacity increase of 11.6 percent. Domestic traffic decreased 1.8 percent year over year on 0.8 percent less capacity.
American boarded 7.1 million passengers in April.
