Item 5.02
Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On August 8, 2018, Brookdale Senior Living Inc. (the "Company") filed a Current Report on Form 8-K with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to report that the Company's Board of Directors (the "Board") appointed Rita Johnson-Mills to the Board effective August 3, 2018. This Form 8-K/A amends and supplements such previously filed Form 8-K to reflect that on November 2, 2018, the Board appointed Ms. Johnson-Mills to serve as a member of its Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. The Board also appointed Denise W. Warren, who was elected to the Board at the 2018 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, to serve as a member of its Audit Committee and Compensation Committee.
