IIJ Announces Retirement of Director

    TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 25, 2003--Internet Initiative Japan
Inc. (IIJ, NASDAQ: IIJI), Japan's leading Internet access and
comprehensive network solutions provider, announced the resignation of
Mr. Akio Onishi from the Board of Directors, effective August 20,
2003, for personal reasons.
