On December 11, 2009, the Board of Directors of ChinaNet Online Holdings, Inc. (the “Company”), received a letter from Kotoi Horofumi in which Mr. Horofumi resigned as a member of the Company’s Board of Directors, effective immediately. Mr. Hirofumi's resignation is not the result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices. A copy of Mr. Horofumi's resignation letter is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1.
